At MCRH, we pride ourselves on our caring, friendly staff. While we are an experienced group of medical professionals, it is our level of compassionate care that really makes an impact on our patients and their families. Fertility treatment is an extremely personal experience and we are committed to guiding patients through the process. We do this with compassion, understanding, and trust. So, while it is important for us to learn about our patients, we feel that it is just as important for our patients to get to know us.
Ashley joined MCRH in February 2011, as the IVF Laboratory Supervisor. In her role, she is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the IVF lab at MCRH. With over twelve years working in the human embryology field, Ashley is also a functioning embryologist and routinely performs laboratory procedures to help maximize outcomes and success for MCRH patients. Trained at the University of Minnesota, Ashley holds both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree. In addition, she has a Technical Supervisor Certificate from the American Association of Bioanalysts and is a member of ASRM, College of Reproductive Biology (CRB), and the Society of Reproductive Biologists and Technologist (SRBT). Ashley lives with her husband and three active children and says the joy and love she receives from them is what inspires her to work with patients to help them create a family of their own.
Maria joined the MCRH family in 2020 as the General Supervisor of the IVF laboratory. Maria has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a Wisconsin native, but spent the past 10 years in the Southeastern United States earning her doctorate degree and discovering the joys of being an embryologist and andrologist. Maria is working towards her high complexity laboratory director certification from the American Association of Bioanalysts which will allow her be an IVF Laboratory Director. When she is not busy helping families achieve their dreams, Maria likes to cook, try new hot sauces, hula hoop, and play video games with her husband. Maria is excited to be back in the Midwest and to work with the amazing team at MCRH.
Paige joined the MCRH team in 2021 working in the laboratory as a Testing Personnel and Embryologist. Paige received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science at Iowa State University and then went on to get her Master’s degree in Assisted Reproductive Technology at Colorado State University. Paige first became interested in reproductive science during a reproductive course in her undergraduate studies. From that point on she knew she wanted to pursue a career in IVF and help those going through the experience of infertility. In her own words, Paige says, “I feel truly honored to work at MCRH where I can make a difference in couple’s lives and help make their dreams come true of having children. “
In her spare time, Paige enjoys dancing, being out on the lake, making memories with her husband, and spending time with family and friends.
Holly originally worked for several years at MCRH, as a medical educator. After leaving for a time to pursue a nursing degree, she rejoined the MCRH family in 2011. Holly has a B.S. in Community Health Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and an RN degree from North Hennepin Community College. She finds that as a nurse at MCRH, she has the opportunity to combine her nursing skills, along with her passion for teaching and educating, when assisting patients throughout their journey. "It is an honor to be part of MCRH, to help couples achieve their dream of having children and to be a member of such a caring and compassionate team."
Holly and her husband are busy raising their four wonderful children. They feel very blessed and cherish each and every day.
Jennifer joined the MCRH family in 2003, as a nurse. With a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BSN, RN from the College of St. Catherine, Jen has found MCRH to be an excellent opportunity to incorporate both of her degrees. In her current position, Jen is involved in all aspects of nursing care, from education to medical procedures. She also supervises the nursing staff.
In her own words, Jen says, "It is an honor to work with such a great staff that has the common goal of making a very difficult situation easier for our patients. To have even a small role in the wondrous gift of making a child is an inexplicable opportunity and for that I am very grateful." Jen enjoys running, biking, travel, and most of all, time with her husband and children. Summer bonfires together at their home in Minnetonka, MN., is a cherished ritual.
Lauren officially joined the MCRH team in 2021 as a Physician Assistant. However, despite being a new team member, Lauren is not new to MCRH entirely. Lauren first became interested in Reproductive Medicine following a talk during her high school anatomy class given by Dr. Corfman. During her undergraduate studies at Gustavus Adolphus College, Lauren spent a month shadowing Dr. Corfman as a part of a career exploration opportunity which confirmed her dream of working in reproductive medicine. While at Gustavus, she studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and was a member of the women’s golf team. After her undergraduate degree she went on to become a Surgical First Assistant at Methodist Hospital at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She worked at primarily in the gynecology and urology departments and was a member of the robotic surgery team. She then moved across the country to pursue a Master’s of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. Following graduation she was anxious to move back home to the Twin Cities and begin her PA career.
Lauren is honored to join such a great team of nurses and staff. In her own words, “our patients are inspiring and resilient; I am so grateful to be a small part of each patient’s journey.”
Lauren enjoys playing golf, going up north, anything in the color pink, cooking new recipes, and spending time with friends and family.
Judy is a Registered Nurse at MCRH. She is responsible for all aspects and rotations of nursing, including assisting new patients, procedures, and education. She earned her R.N. degree from North Hennepin Community College. Judy began her nursing career in the OB/GYN postpartum field and then spent a short time in plastic surgery. She then returned to women's health and joined MCRH in 2001.
Judy is honored to be a part of such an amazing team of professionals, who strive to make the most wonderful dream come true for our patients. She feels she is a part of a very special and talented group of people, who fulfill the physical and emotional needs of each and every MCRH patient. Judy has been married for 20 years to her best friend and high school sweetheart. They have two wonderful children that have been their priorities since the day they were born.
Before joining MCRH in 1998, Julie worked in different aspects of pediatric healthcare. She began her career as a nurse's aide and went on to complete her R.N. degree. Julie's experience includes work in pediatric clinics, a pediatric intensive care unit in Illinois, and home health care. In addition to her nursing roles at MCRH, Julie took on the position of Third-Party Coordinator in 2001, finding and matching egg donors with recipient couples Today, Julie is a member of ASRM, and is just as enthusiastic about helping patients achieve the dream of adding children to their family as she was when she started at MCRH.
Kelly joined the MCRH team in 1996, after working as a nurse in a family practice and postpartum clinic. With a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and a R.N. from Normandale Community College, Kelly has had a lifelong interest in helping children. Her studies in child psychology and work in obstetrics has made her a knowledgeable and compassionate advocate for MCRH patients.
In her current role, Kelly is responsible for patient procedures and education, IV sedation, and providing assistance to Dr. Corfman. Kelly considers it a blessing to be a part of the MCRH family. She believes there is nothing better than helping patients achieve pregnancy and have families of their own. A proud mother of two active boys, Kelly and her husband are heavily involved with their sons' functions, but still find time to travel and keep active with golf and tennis.
Since 2006, Niki has worked as a nurse at MCRH, providing all aspects of nursing care from education to medical procedures. At a young age, Niki knew she had a passion for the medical field. She began fulfilling this dream by becoming an EMT when she was a senior in high school. She went on to nursing school in Minneapolis and received her R.N. degree. Throughout nursing school and following graduation, Niki worked in Surgical/Trauma Intensive Care.
Niki feels privileged to be part of the MCRH team and says, "My empathy and desire to help others brought me to MCRH. It's a difficult situation to be in as a patient and I feel honored to help such amazing people fulfill their dreams of becoming parents." Niki is married to her husband and best friend of many years. They are busy raising their young son and daughter.
Sandi joined the MCRH team in July of 2005, after working at a sleep clinic and home medical equipment company. As an undergraduate, Sandi's primary interest was in biology and chemistry. Her volunteer experience at a local hospital led her to pursue her career in medicine. As the daughter of a health administrator, Sandi is always eager to volunteer for activities and programs at the Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare and the Ronald McDonald House. She is also an accomplished flutist and assists in youth programs at her church.
Tiffany originally joined the MCRH team in 1998, as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at MCRH for seven years before deciding to be a stay at home mom and raise her family. After almost a decade away, she decided to get back into the workforce and knew that MCRH is exactly where she wanted to be.
Rejoining the team in Sept. 2012, she feels honored to be a part of a team full of kindness, compassion, and integrity. Tiffany’s greatest joy in life is being a parent. She hopes she can help make a difference in patients' lives by helping them fulfill their dreams of becoming parents.
