General Infertility
Our experienced staff is a great resource for patients in need of information about general infertility program costs, insurance coverage, or ways to go about comparing fertility clinics.
Insurance
We are pleased to be a provider with several insurance carriers. Insurance coverage is based on your treatment plan outlined by Dr. Corfman and your insurance contract. Your plan and contract may put you into one of the following categories:
MCRH Alpha Medical (MCRH Alpha) bills for new patient consults, diagnostic and IUI services and is currently a participating provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, Health Partners, and Preferred One.
The Midwest Center for Reproductive Health (MCRH) bills for outside laboratory testing and education services for out-of-network general infertility patients and participates as an in-network provider for Health Partners.
Great Planes Reproductive Center (GPRC) bills for services received at the MCRH satellite clinics, and is a participating provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. When services such as IVF are provided at MCRH in Minnesota, these are processed as out-of-network services.
Oakdale Ob/Gyn bills for our mutual patients that receive treatment at MCRH and is a participating provider with Medica, Aetna, United Health Care, and several others.
Most insurance plans will allow out-of-network providers. Deductibles and coverage levels vary, but often there is little difference in coverage between in-network and out-of-network providers. We encourage you to contact your insurance carrier for more information on the specifics of your out-of-network benefits. Our business office representatives at MCRH will provide detailed information about your specific insurance coverage, and help determine which company will bill for your services. We encourage you to call us anytime there are changes in insurance carriers or treatment plans.
For further details, we have put together an easy to understand General Infertility Commonly Asked Questions Guide. We also have tools to help determine insurance coverage and program costs in our Benefit Verification section.
Program Costs
An IUI treatment is one of the most common general infertility procedures. One cycle of Clomid or Letrozole with IUI costs approximately $800 - $1,000 per cycle. One cycle of Super Ovulation with IUI costs approximately $3,000 - $3,500 per cycle. Please note these estimates do include medications.
