“Dear Dr. Corfman,
We are writing to share the wonderful news of the arrival of our baby boy. He was born on December 26, 2005. I also want to share some thoughts with you about our journey and a very memorable 2005.
Around this time last year, we were getting ready to begin the in vitro process. From the start you were clear that the odds were not necessarily in our favor but there was still hope. You and your staff helped make the process comfortable and easy which was welcome during a very uncertain time for us.
Thinking back to all the events of 2005, it’s truly a miracle that our child is with us today. The in vitro process and pregnancy were filled with a number of unexpected challenges. The day of transfer was not as optimistic as we had envisioned. We only had three, C grade viable embryos which was somewhat sobering information given that this would be our only round of in vitro. My husband and I kept reading the caption on the transfer sheet; “Miracles happen”. We were filled with fear and hope at the same time.
We cannot thank you and your staff enough for your assistance and persistence in helping this miracle happen. We would like to ask that you proudly display the enclosed picture on the baby wall so that hope and inspiration can be given to other couples in our same situation.”
