Meet Dr. Corfman
Dr.
Corfman, Medical Director of the The Midwest Center for Reproductive
Health, P.A. (MCRH), is a Reproductive Endocrinologist who is
board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He earned his B.A.
from Kansas Wesleyan University and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Kansas
State University. After obtaining his M.D. from the University of Kansas,
he completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University
Of Kansas School Of Medicine in Wichita, then a two-year fellowship in
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Yale University.
After completing his formal training, he was invited to establish the in vitro fertilization and endoscopic gynecologic surgery programs at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. While serving as Director of the Mayo Clinic's Assisted Reproductive Technology program, Dr. Corfman founded one of the country's premier IVF programs.
Dr. Corfman has extensive experience in all aspects of Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility and Assisted Reproductive Technologies. He has been recognized throughout his career with many academic achievements and endorsements from his peers. Among his many awards, Dr. Corfman has been honored for his love and gift of teaching by both Yale University and the Mayo Clinic.
He has published numerous scientific papers and authored textbooks in the area of reproductive medicine. He actively participates as a guest lecturer on aspects of reproductive biology and physiology in private Colleges and Universities, providing college students with exposure to applications of ethics, biology and physiology in clinical medicine. More recently, he has perceived the need for providing reproductive health education at the high school level, developing active programs in several community high schools.
Dr. Corfman has been blessed with two children, Brianne and Christopher. He thoroughly enjoys being a father, adores his children and loves spending time with them. He finds the joy they bring to his life provides constant motivation to continue in the work to which he was called.
