Meet Our Administration Team
At MCRH, we believe our staff to be one of our strongest assets. We are a specialized, family-oriented team of highly experienced professionals, committed to working with our patients on a personal level. While it is important for us to learn about our patients, it is also important for you to know a bit about the people who will be working with you.
Joanne, Data Coordinator
Joanne joined the MCRH family in 1996 as a data coordinator. Originally hired to address the need for SART (Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies) regulations, Joanne has become an integral part of the inner-workings of MCRH. Today, she maintains the MCRH database as well as reporting for IVF patients.
Joanne and her husband enjoy traveling across the country to spend time with each of their four children and 14 grandchildren.
Karla, Clinical Administrator, Registered Nurse
Karla is one of the founding members of the MCRH team and plays a critical role in the inner workings of the clinic. Although she currently works in office management, Karla originally joined MCRH as head nurse. Her background includes ten years as a nurse at the Mayo Clinic, five of those years as the nursing supervisor with the Fertility Department. In 1992, she re-located to the Twin Cities to help establish MCRH.
Karla earned her R.N. degree in Rochester, Minnesota, and is a member of ASRM and MMGMA. Of her work at MCRH, she says, "I try to appreciate the challenges our patients face and find it very rewarding that they allow us to assist them on their personal journeys." In her spare time she enjoys road trips, music, being a sports spectator and treasures her time with family and friends.
Sara, Patient Care Coordinator
Business savvy with a soft touch perfectly describes how Sara approaches her role as a Patient Care Coordinator. With a B.S. in Business Administration from Metropolitan State University, Sara puts her organizational skills to work at MCRH. She joined the practice in September 2010 and is responsible for assisting patients with questions and scheduling, business administration, and medical records management.
Sara firmly believes in the MCRH philosophy of treating patients like family. She also finds it incredibly rewarding to have a role in helping MCRH patients on their path to parenthood. Sara lives with her husband and two children in Andover, Minnesota.
Tami, Patient Care Coordinator/Licensed Practical Nurse
From the age of 16, Tami knew she wanted to be a nurse. Beginning as a nurse's aide at the nursing home where her grandfather lived, Tami gained her first experiences in the field and continued her education to become an LPN. She joined MCRH in 1998. Today, her responsibilities include assisting patients as well as performing ultrasounds, blood work, and IUIs. Tami leads an active family life with all of her grown children, their spouses and her grandkids, yet still finds time to enjoy golfing, traveling, and relaxing at the cabin.
Tina, Administrative Assistant
Tina wears many hats at MCRH in her position as Administrative Assistant. After joining the MCRH staff in 2001, she has become an essential part of the team. Her responsibilities include administrative services for Dr. Corfman, Voice and Data coordination, managing the schedule for satellite visits, and day-to-day office management.
Originally a Legal Secretary, Tina's exceptional organizational skills are an asset to the staff and patients at MCRH. She values the opportunity to play a role in helping MCRH patients in their family-building process. In her spare time, Tina enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting and cheering on her kids in dance and baseball.
Business Office
Diane, Business Office Specialist
Diane joined MCRH in 1997 and considers the staff and the patients as family. Diane describes her experiences with MCRH as an opportunity to help people through a very difficult time in their lives. In her position as a Business Office Specialist, she is responsible for daily business activities, as well as educating patients about MCRH services and health insurance information.
Growing up in a family with nine brothers, Diane learned the importance of family very early. Raised in Minnesota, Diane's marriage to a military man sent the couple to the west coast, inhabiting states such as California and Washington. When her husband was stationed overseas, Diane returned to the familiar comfort of her home state. She worked as a stay-at-home mom and in an OB/GYN clinic before joining the team at MCRH.
Laramie, Business Office Coordinator
Laramie came to MCRH in 1997 after working in the medical field for 11 years. Originally a law enforcement student, Laramie made the change to business administration to pursue her true interests.
Raised in a small town in Minnesota, Laramie and one of her two younger brothers remain in their home state. She attributes her career in infertility services to the births of her nieces and nephews learning firsthand the joy that children bring into the world. In addition to spending time with her family, Laramie looks forward to the opportunity to travel abroad and learn new cultures.
